Was giving Ol' Reliable its yearly bath before putting it away for the winter, and found a pea-sized hole in the headlight. Damn.

I've got an extra from an '84. I forget what year your bike is... yours for shipping or drive on down to Rochester MN :)
I have heard a few members have had that happen. This is what I use to eliminate the problem.

John. Thanks big time. I'll take it.
Mine's an '85, so our headlights are the same.
I'll send you a PM with my address. No rush in sending it out. Seeing how we're getting at least six inches of the white stuff this coming Monday. :dash2:

Fred. Thanks. I actually have one, or one that is similar. It's got whitish horizontal lines on it. I think it's old school. Maybe Lockhart if I recall.
It came on my '87 when I bought it. The Velcro buttons on the headlight had lost a lot of their holding power, so I took it off and boxed it up. After this latest damage on my '85, I will need to resurrect the protector, and get new Velcro buttons.

Fred do you mind me asking where you bought that windahiled and how much it cost. ?
The windscreen that is pictured is a cut too fit windscreen that started life as a Honda CBR1100xx double bubble windscreen. I ordered the 2 windscreens on eBay from China/Hong Kong. The price was about $20.00 a piece. A Dremel tool with a cutting wheel is what I used.
I also have one that has a much larger bubble.

Thanks Fred. I will look in to getting one. That mirror type finish would go great on my bike. The existing wingscreen is a dull not transparent black on whichI dont really like.

I can only vouch for that this modified windscreen will work for the 88'-90' models. I do not know of any member trying to use the CBR windscreen on the 91'-96' models.
If you order one and it works out on your 92', please post photos.

Back to the regularly scheduled post, sorry about having this go a different direction.
The headlight cover that I post a link to, is from the FJ owners club U.K.. I know some members don't care for the membership fees to order accessories from there.
Here are links for another manufacturer.

Bonus - it has the Velcro sticky things already. It's missing a couple grommets but yours should x-fer over...
