hey yall, today feb 18,09 i went out to go to the dr. and my bike had been stolen. they broke into a truck and stole the battery and a tool kit that they then used to steal my FJ. took every bolt out of the windshield and left it sitting pretty on the hood of my car for me . and left the tool kit and my broken ignition switch where my beloved FJ used to sit.
im in vancouver washington....so if you see an 85 FJ with no windscreen run that hunk of shit over...na just call the police
im very pissed and heart broken..i loved that bike.

John,
That's terrible man....I feel for ya! Not much to say...but if it were to crop up on craigslist or ebay or whatever...this group will spot it. Are there any other unique identifying marks or mods to look out for?
I wonder why the hell they took the windsheild off?!?!
Man who does this kind of shit!!!! I am very sorry to hear this. Who'd have thought a 24yr old bike would be stolen with all the modern stuff out there. Not good!! They probably took the windshield off to get it in a van.
james
thanks for your sympathy...no mods at all..bike is bone stock...and inded there was a suzuki sv 650 2 stalls over and they tried to steal it but couldn't pop the ignition switch so they moved to my old girl.
crap all my bike pics are on the other computer....have to post to craigs list now

A couple of unique marks to look for on the bike are on the plastics.
The main fairing has two yellow marker lights on it (one on each side), and on the tail section just below the seat latches there are two holes where another yellow marker light was (one on each side).
The headlight relay mod had been done, and there was a PIAA headlamp installed. Rear shock was blown and leaking oil.
I can't think of anything else at the moment.
Oh also ...if I don't get my bike back...I just bought an 89 fzr1000 rear wheel and tire, 89 FJ forks, R6 calipers and a 14mm brake master cylinder(Kawasaki ZRX1100)...looks like I might have to sell all this stuff off right after I hunted it all up ...
I'm furious and heartbroken all at once.

John thats a damn shame after you got her going with friends help. Keep an eye out for it and perhaps it will turn up. I feel for you lad as these bikes become part of our hearts. I do hope the police find it and get her back to you soon. Dont go selling the upgrade parts just yet, lets hope you get your baby back without too much damage....
My condolences Eric M
John
That sucks, what a sinking feeling when you go out and there is a empty space were your bike should
be. "I feel your pain". Never had a bike stolen but have had 2 cars stolen. I hope it shows up for you.
Carl :(
Thanks for the good thoughts y'all...I guess my computer calendar was off...Feb 17th @ 9:15 a.m. I discovered my baby gone.
Yeah I'm gonna hold on to my parts for the mods for a few weeks....if it doesn't turn up in that time tho the chances are super slim.
It's funny I just bought the bike last summer....and I felt like my girlfriend dumped me when I found her gone.that and immense severe anger.
there is a guys Suzuki sv650 2 stalls over from mine...they punched the lock on his bike too. but you cant get to the switch on that Suzuki and you can get to the switch on the FJ. the bike (mine) has a dead battery so its not like they hot wired it and rode off.
I can only imagine the motivation was to buy dope (amphetamines anyone???) as they broke into a truck across the lot and stole the battery out of it, and the tool kit they used to remove my windshield, they left the stolen tools on the ground where my FJ was parked.....grrrrrr.....
I wanna do such bad things to the fuckin twacks that stole my bike.
OGmudbone
Man, John that's tough, I know what your going through. Had my baby stolen shortly after I bought it. But keep a good thought you never know. I still remember the cop telling me I'd never see my bike again, he said "Hell, they stole my boat right outa my front yard." but I did get it back. The miscreant did something to atrract the attention of a LEO in the next county and when he slammed the throttle to make good his escape, it yanked the throttle cable right out of the plastic connector. You never know.
Fred

I totally understand John. But dont make it worse on yourself by getting involved unless you see the bike, then call the law if they are willing to help or......... take you baby back from them..... Good luck.

Hey Brother,
That sucks big time!!! Hope you get her back OK & the shitbags get theirs >:(
John,
do a neighborhood search where you live for your bike.
way back when my rd daytona 400 was stolen I found it two days later in an alley with a dead battery and no gas left. so don't give up hope just yet.
my daughters car was stolen recently and the cops said the thieves will drive around till they run out of gas and dump it. well three days after that I caught the thieves red handed driving the car and pinned them with the service truck and removed them from the car and forcibly detained them until the cops showed up. zip ties and duct tape were involved. they were happy to see the cops.

Good move Mark, I bet they were scared to death of you. The law not so much, thats why fkrs like that steal because the law keeps letting them go, but the owner might just mess one of them up seriously before the law shows up... glad ya got the car back...

There's a special place in hell for those that steel bikes, and steeling an FJ? Well, THAT place is hotter yet!
Good Luck getting your bike back.
Dan
Perhaps if John finds them he should rent or borrow a Judas Chair.
The Judas Chair is a pyramid-shaped seat. The victim was placed on top of it, with the point inserted into their anus, vagina or scrotum, then very slowly lowered by ropes. Some theories suggest that the intended effect was to stretch the orifice over a long period of time, or to slowly impale. The victim was usually naked, adding to the humiliation already endured.
Other sources describe a different way of use, stating the ability to raise or lower the victim can change the pressure. The pyramid shaped seat was able to stretch the anus or the vagina, but the point of the pyramid may have been used to cause pain by pressing against the inside of the orifice. This contrasts to the stretching theory, in that the actual torture was caused not by the stretching of the vagina or anus, but by the different effects achieved by positioning the victim against the pyramid's point. Additionally, stretching of the anus or vagina could result in rips and tears causing pain and even death.

John,
I know the feeling of walking out the door and seeing a big empty spot where your motorcycle is supposed to be. March, 1993, between midnight and 6 AM the scum stole my 92 Seca II from right in fromt of my house. Sliced the cover and cut the chain that was runthrough the rear wheel. The feeling of being violated stays for a long time. Hope that you can get your bike back quickly or that you have good insurance coverage.
In my case, the insurance company cut me a check in 25 days. That check was the downpayment on my 92 FJ which was still left in a dealer's showroom.
Stephen
thanks again for the positive energy, it is really helping me try to be positive about this situation. the insurance adjuster was here today...he was blown away that the tools that were used were still left untouched. he took a ton of pics including the truck and the other bike that were messed with...after walking it over with the adjuster these people went to a pretty amazing amount of trouble to get my bike.
i don't want to re live the details....but they used tools and took things apart as well as we assume cut the mirrors off in order to push it under the carport/storage boxes. i didn't think about it before as i was well pissed off....but now with a cooler head i can see there was a lot more to this than first i suspected.
anyway thank you all for the continued support and positive energy i really appreciate it.
