I was wondering of anyone knew what the viscous fluid is for, that comes with the OEM clutch rebuild kit. It's a bit more viscous than Dot 3 or 4 hydraulic fluid. I'm not sure if it's some kind of oil for lubing the lever, or old thick hydraulic fluid, to pre wet the seals/cylinder to reduce both, friction, and the potential for damaging the seals, during assembly. My nose seems to be drawing a blank, olfactory nerves declining too, I guess. It's inconsistent with the other two 'brake' master cylinder kits, in that it's been excluded from them?? Why is the clutch different? Special mystery oil so non-clairvoyant people ask stupid questions on a forum? I didn't notice it mentioned in the manual either; an after thought?
Anyone know what it's for, that cares to enlighten the clueless?
TIA

Most rebuild kits come with a sachet of seal friendly (non petroleum based) assembly lube.

Thanks Noel. I thought it might serve that purpose, but was afraid to take a chance at mixing incompatible fluids. They should put a brief set of directions in the kits since the GYSM has no mention of the kits contents.
Really appreciate it!
