Are all years side covers the same? the cover that has fj1200 decal on it

my 90 and 86 are the same in shape and design. I would say that 86 to 90 are the same for sure -- and 95 pct sure 91 on up are too and after looking at a few pics of the 84-85 I would also say they are the same as well.-- so all are the same --- but wait for other to chime in for absolute certainty
do they have original paint on them-so you can tell what year they are?
My '84 fits on my '92 so I would say yes....

I need a new one for my 92. there are many on ebay but for a 92 the price was $75, for other years as low as $35.
since I am painting it the color doesn't matter.
