I followed the guidelines in the source document with a pair of OEM Honda CBR1000 mirrors.
Definitely have to recommend this mod. While not "perfect" the difference between them and stock is remarkable. The CBR mirrors are much wider, so you can see more behind you. Much less blind spot. Definitely good for passing! (Of course, since I NEVER exceed the posted speed limit, I RARELY "pass"...
:rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2:
The only problem encountered was when I overtightened the bolt and cracked the Yamaha mirror mount. The bolt did not line up perfectly, and I got a little overzealous. Once it started threading, I applied too much torque (`till I saw SPOTS???) Next thing I knew... *CRACK*
Dammit!
Good thing I had a spare laying around.
I highly recommend this mod.

:good2: Big difference. The originals were like trying to taxi a tail dragger except in reverse, you had to do "S" turns to see in front of you with a tail dragger. Not so much a problem up here in the sticks but in California on the freeway I suppose it looked interesting to some one following..

Wonderful mod, one of the best IMO

They look great, a lot more aerodynamic, for when you observe the speed limit, of course.
