Following my close encounter with the Bruce Highway, I am now on the scrounge for parts to repair my 92.
I need ....
LH footpeg and gear lever
Fairing inner panels and instrument surround
Front fairing subframe
Screen
Instrument clear cover
LH crankcase / ignition cover
If you have any of these bits spare, let me know with prices
If I am not able to find these parts I will be forced to build an outrageous streetfighter similar to this, and will turn up to FJ days and do wheelies and stoppies. You have been warned !!
Cheers
Stu

Here's hoping you find your parts Stu, cause that thing looks shithouse, :negative: looks like it's been hit up the arse.
Ive got a gear lever if the 1100 is the same as 1200.
Got 1100 foot peg as well and instrument cluster

I have Randy's bike here......It has some good stuff on it...
I would love to have a spare bike but its just not feasable at the moment ie: Sue would kill me.
Wonder where I can get one of those jacked up seat bases ?

Stu, that is the FJ I rode while vacationing at the 2014 rally. I have just a few things that Richard & Harvy will be addressing for me that I want to be fixed before selling.
It has a completely upgraded & rebuilt front suspension with RPM fork valves, springs, new bushings & seals, fork brace, a set of blue spot calipers with EBC HH pads a freshly rebuild front master with braided hoses. It also has a set of RPM handlebar risers on it as well.
Valves were adjusted and a new V/C gasket & grommets installed. The push throttle cable was bad and Richard has a replacement with the bike.
RPM pod & breather filter, new spark plugs were also added to the tune-up. I installed an RPM spin on oil filter adapter and it will have a fresh oil change when it is sold.
I did the wide clutch disc conversion but had trouble with the double clutch spring and just ran out of time to diagnose the issue before heading out to Jindabyne, so it has a single spring in it. No slipping issues on our journey either.
We install a low mileage replacement right handlebar control switch assembly as the original had a break and the bike would shut of when turning.
It also has a new set of EBC HH pads on the rear caliper as well.
It seems like I am forgetting some things, but it has been many months since I have seen it, so I am working from memory.

I know somebody`s brother that's look`n for an fj. ....ummmm, that somebody might be under some influence Sunday week, 10th Aug.....I need somethin ta bend his arm.....got anything shiney & new ya can throw in? ....has it got solid luggage bags?.....just wonder`n.....I had heard it wasn`t to be sold till after tha Wog57 Rally! (bloody mafia extortionists!) :pardon:
(popcorn) (popcorn)
Thats very tempting Randy but not something i can afford at the moment. Fortunately Harvy was able to dig up some fairing bits for me and Arnie might have some of the other items I need. Once again this group has come to my rescue and saved the FJ from being streetfightered.
Thanks guys
Damn, thats no good Stu, I wanted to see you pulling stoppies and wheelies, lol :rofl2: :rofl2:
