As seen in some of my other pics, the wannabe Corbin I have had faded so much it was really orange. Plus, since I eliminated the blue stripe on the bike I wanted to do the same on the seat. So today I finally got around to masking off the silver part of the seat and painting the rest red to better match the bike. First I cleaned the seat with some Prep-All then masked it off. I laid on a few coats of Dupli-Color CP199 Clear Adhesion Promoter Primer, then a few coats of Plasti-Kote 420 Flame Red Vinyl. I'm very happy with the results, I just hope it lasts.
Bike and seat look good and in the correct FJ colors too. Dave
Dam, that looks good Paul! Is that seat leather or vinyl? Charley.

Thanks Charley. I'm pretty sure the seating surface is leather but the rest is vinyl. I know it's been recovered at least once as I've had to repair the front part of the bottom of the seat where they scored the plastic when they were trimming the material. The plastic had cracked right where the score lines are causing the front part of the seat to flare out (you can also see that in some of my earlier pics).
