Not sure what its purpose is...What glue should i use? I have some Hylomar ?
Well, it is not supposed to stick to the cover like that. They usually come out of the case when glue is used on the gasket, which is not required.
Clean the rubber down in the groove where the grey silicone is, clean the case where the groove slides over the case, add some more silicone into the groove and reinstall back into the case.
Then a new clutch gasket without sealer and you will not have any problems.

The last set of clutch gaskets Randy sent me are by far the best I've seen -- and I go thru a few on the dragbike. The gaskets seem to have a rubberized coating or something on them and work very well installed dry.
Thanks for the help guys . I did get a 8 fiber set-up from Randy also (maybe a year ago) just needing them now.The multi-angle valve job, springs, decked head, and degreed cams (105/105) made a great difference ...maybe the 3rd time i blasted it...the clutch slipped...i knew it was coming...as clutch was original...at 7000,it almost feels like boost, lol.
