I have an 87 fj 1200 drag bike I have the rs 36 d-8 carbs from mikuni and I cannot find them for sale used or for less than 1100 I had the original carbs but I would have had to change my whole airshift kit. I broke the float towers to three of the carbs and don't know what to do

Get them welded back on, look up micro welding.

I broke the float towers on a old ski doo and used 2 part epoxy to fix it. I could'nt tell you the name of the epoxy it was just some we had lying around the lodge

I repaired one with Araldite, it was unaffected by petrol over a 12 month period.

There are a few ways to repair the float towers, might be cheaper than new carbs. These seem pretty solid:
