Post by: v92sport on June 24, 2014, 07:25:45 PM
i bought a 1989 fj 1200. it was running good when i got it. as soon as i got it registered for the road the the hydrolic clutch went. so i rebuilt the master and slave cylinder. after it was rebuilt. now it leaks from the master cylinder by the lever. my question is did i install the gaskets wrong ?

Its pretty easy to put the piston seal on arse-about-face........ or the cylinder bore somehow got scored/pitted?

Dan, take it apart and takes some pics of it, and post them. If the "gaskets" are assembled wrong, someone will know by looking at them.
