Just to let the people here know that may like to know..
On Friday the 13th (yes thats right) I was admitted to hospital after I suffered a heart attack.
I was at the time under investigation for chest pains and as such was on meds that reduced the severity of the attack. After the weekend in hospital on the Monday morning I had a angiography and a angioplasty and was sent home Tuesday afternoon. I will make a full recovery. I had a attack in 2008 as well and have had a restriction in my heart since then the angioplasty I have just had has repaired that damage and as such I will be able to corner twice as fast and out ride you all.
The moral to the story here is I was dam lucky. I stop smoking in 2008 but the damage was done......As Mr T would say Stop smoking you Foools...
So looking forward to getting back on the bike (Motor and Push) in the next few weeks. Have 2 weeks off work to rest up then back to the grind stone.
Cheers
Get well and good advice on the smoking. Glad you were paying attention to the problem. Get well soon.
George
Bloody hell. Glad u will make a full recovery. I think we get to an age when we have to pay for the sins of our youth. I had never been in a hospital until last year, and now I seem to be a regular visitor. Dont get any faster, I had trouble keeping up last time
Get well. Take easy and rest up. Big R
glad your ok Richard, take it easy.

You watch boy I may have to ride up there and have a nice cup of tea with you. :wacko1:
6 months into the year, and we've had 2 bike prangs and now a heart attack!!! What's going on???
Take it easy Richard, and buy a lotto ticket.
I thought a heart attack is supposed to slow you down, not make you quicker, I couldn't keep track of you before, haven't got a hope in hell now.
Tony.

Count me in on that challenge. Take it easy for a while mate and get yourself fit for next year's Rally. Best regards, Pete.
Darran had this one nailed, any excuse not to go for a ride in the rain!
Nah, you'll be good to go soon Richard, these cardiac docs certainly know their business and, *gulp* you'll be even harder to keep up with now.
Goes without saying, take care Richard and bring it back to full throttle gradually, like the experts are no doubt advising.
I had to read it three times. I thought you were taking the piss...
I look forward to the odd photo from your recovery rides...

I will make a full recovery........
Cheers
Richard, glad to hear you you will make a full recovery, heed the warning! Just as well you had given the fags away.
I also gave up smoking in 2008...........and 2009, 2010.......2014. Your experience is a sobering reminder.
With all that blood flowing to your brain again I expect the rally to be a ripper.
Noel
Hi Richard, I'm sorry to hear of your Heart troubles. I hope you make a progressive recovery.
Your message was a timely reminder to us all, I think.
Best wishes Mate.
Hope to see you at the 2015 Rally.
Tony
Thanks for all the well wishes.
I am well on the way to a full recovery. All that was need is a few weeks rest.
I am amazed at what modern medical procedures can do.
But I was lucky. Having these troubles now has most likely saved me from a massive attack later.
Really feel like I have dodged a bullet.
Stay safe and look after yourselves.
Cheers.
Get well soon mate. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger, and faster by the sound of it, although I think I'd rather go to race school, take care.
Gday mate, First of all great to hear you survived. I had a recent 3 week stint in Buderim hospital. Couple of mates took a day off work and rode up so we could shoot the breeze. Made my year. How close are you to Caloundra? Would love to have a cuppa and a chat being a new fj owner.
Cheers,Steve
BTW fellas so great to see so many members in my area.
Read a thread about oils and people mentioned how polite everyone had gotten while discussing a contentious issue. I thought it was all very genteel after reading threads on litre bike forums, the names that were thrown around would make you want to curl up in the foetal position.

Rich.........I am so sorry to hear this (rather read it)......I have been away from here for a while........and have been mired in the state of self pity and depression. Came home to a disaster and have been staying away. I have not been myself at all and was devastated to hear the news about Joe. I am very glad to hear that you are well and on the road to recovery. Forgive me for my late response........but I am glad to know you're OK....... :drinks:
Crazy Kev..... :wacko2: (the guy who talks to himself while making Pancakes)......
Bloody hell, I've only been off the net for a month or two and I get this news and news about wog57. At least your news is that you are better, Get WELL and take care of yourself. Regards John (alias Bozo)
