Eventually I'll replace my turn signals with some LED's but for now, I needed to make these look better.

Straighter and shorter. I think the appearance is much better.

Nice touch, eliminates the movement too.
The bike must have been dropped a few times by the previous owners. Those rubber standoffs have springs molded into them. Two had bent springs and there was no way I could make them straight again.
Good idea, and nice work on them.

Joe, I love the look and gotta be worth a least one mpg in reduced drag.

Thats money in the bank Noel. Cha-ching, I saved 35 cents today. :yahoo: They still have a rubber mounted feel to them. If I drop the bike, they're not going to take it good though. It looks a lot cleaner to me. Thanks.
Happy motoring!
What kind of LED's are you considering?
Don't let those lobsters wait.....
Cheers mate....
:hi: During my previous 'life before my FJ', I was, for several years, running as well as rebuilding/selling Yamaha Vision's...and did the exact same thing with the signal indicator stalks.
However, Barry, a very good friend, (sadly now passed away), had a couple of lathe's in his garage and machined down all those ugly, old fashioned, droopy, stalk's for me...VOILA...a more modern, sleeker look was achieved at very little cost.
John.

I'd like to get flush mounted for the front and then replace the tail light with RPM's tail light / integrated turn. We'll see if the lobsters come forth :biggrin: The boats in the water and we launched the skiff today. We start setting traps tomorrow. :drinks:

That good John, ya those stalks as you call'm look kind of ridiculous. I can appreciate the thought that went into the design of the FJ but the turn signals are three inches to long. Even Mr. Yamaha must have said "WTF". :rofl2:
I think the late model rear turn signals look a lot better if you shorten them.

Nice look to those directionals. Similar to what I was looking at and being my second choice;

These might need a little trimming.
