My bike came w/o a tool kit. There is just that empty space. So I want to assemble a kit but a few spanners is not enough to get me by in a 'situation'.
So what is a properly built up, on the bike, tool pouch filled up with?
And an embarrassing side question. My idle is low after a carb synch, and my hands don't like heat much! Which direction does the idle screw turn to increase idle speed ?

Use a gloved hand to protect from heat and open the throttle slightly, this will lift the adjuster off its seat and make it easier to turn. Clockwise increases revs.

It's threaded up into the linkage and pushes the throttle stop open. Long screwdriver will work to manipulate the knob if you've got larger hands or don't want to burn them. I always have to mentally lay on my back and look up at the thing, tighter is higher rpm, looser is lower.
If you did the stainless steel screw kit, specifically allen screws to your brake and clutch master cylinder covers, make sure you add the right size allen key to your tool kit. I was riding recently with another FJ where he had the clutch slave start leaking and neither one of us had a wrench to fit those screws. :ireful:

basic flat-repair kit
flashlight.
start there, add as you go.
my idle-screw turns counter-clockwise to increase revs, just get a long-stem flathead and try it. I promise you wont break anything if you're reasonably competent.

Yes, it would have been nice to ride home using a clutch that worked. Bill did you add one to your toolkit??
