R.I.P. Mark Glorioso 5/19/14 (Poker007 (http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?action=profile;u=2979))
Sad day for one of our own
This is the information I have been dreading since I join my first motorcycle forum.
I just received a phone call from the father of one of our own that lost his life while on his FJ a week ago Monday when he collided with a turning car.
He was know here as Poker007 (http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?action=profile;u=2979) and his name was Mark Glorioso.

His father did not provide me any further details other than to thanking me for working on the FJ that gave Mark so much enjoyment.
Guys ride like the cars are going to kill you.
Stay safe...

Uggggg!
This is not good.
Sorry to hear
I am sorry to hear the news. It is a grim reminder about riding and staying alive. May he rest in peace and condolences to his family and all that knew him.
I never met him but as a fellow FJ rider he is a brother of sorts. Sad news indeed.
George
Very sad news indeed. Prayers and condolences for his family and friends.
I remember reading a couple of his posts. Sounded like a great guy. Really sad day. Thoughts and prayers for the family. Big R
Words are hard to come by to describe the numb feeling I get when reading news like this.

Agreed. Same here.
My heart always drops when I read a subject line like that.
My condolences to all concerned.
It is terrible news... I feel sorry for his loved ones, this must be the worst time for them. It will be very hard on his riding mate too.
Travel safe...
Gareth

News like this always makes my guts go squirmy. May he RIP
My dad once told me:: mail1 - THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF MOTORCYCLE RIDERS! RIDERS WHO HAVE CRASHED! AND RIDERS WHO WILL CRASH! SOMETIMES THE LAST CRASH IS THE FIRST; AND A DEADLY ONE !
When my God takes me I will rejoice in happiness forever ! take care Kurt.... good2

You want to know, what makes me go
At morning, noon and night
From cars and bikes the drums and mic's
it's a fire burning bright
but deep inside, what makes me glide
throughout my daily plight
are the things I see, and the love from thee
that inspires me to write
so lead me on, til mornings dawn
til darkness turns to light
and friends we'll be, for eternity
once heavens gate's in sight
so until then, my FJ friend
we'll lean them left and right
and follow on, the road beyond
to catch the winded flight
:drinks:

Whoa , I just talked to him the day before the accident . He was making plans to come to the WCR .
That sucks.
Damn, not another one. RIP.
This really is sad news.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention Randy.
You have given us a timely reminder that we are not invincible.
I hope Mark rests in piece.

*sigh* its just a numbing feeling when you look at the crash photo, it shouldn't have happened. A few seconds earlier or later etc...........
As Randy said, ride like the cars are out to kill you. :(
This is sad news to recive.. I just read about a fatal accident in a thread by FJMoneky, high season is risky business for us all motorcycle drivers.
Be safe out there guys!

+1 :good2:
It's a risk we all take to one extent or another. Cars always win in a crash with a motorcycle. It's hollowing to hear about someone going that way and I wish the best to his family. It's a grim reminder that this passion of ours is a risky business. You can mitigate some of it with gear and manage some of it through the decisions you make, but it's always there.
Stay safe guys.
