After pushing both fjs up the ramp into my truck. To take them down to the Moto gp in Austin. I can say that everything I did to the86 that lightened it up was worth it. It was like pushing a dirt bike compared to the 89. And the 89 is already lighter than stock. With the gsxr 1000 front and gsxr 600 rear wheel.
Adding up the parts I've actually weighed.(Honda shock 2.6lbs lighter digital guages 1.2lbs lighter etc) and the already known (supertrap super light exhaust 22lbs etc) I figured it's about 55lbs lighter. Didn't know how much a difference it made. Wow. And I'm not done yet. Almost all of the things I did were to make it better.(more modern, better handling, better riding, better looking) also made it lighter.
