For those that own 84'-87's that have been searching for a set of late model forks to upgrade to the 17" front wheel. Here is a set of 89' forks on eBay. They do not show up very often and have been selling in the $200.00 range.
For the mod everything is plug and play. As simple as removing your 16" wheel, calipers, slide the fork legs out of the triple tree, slide the 89' forks in, install the 17" FJ or 87'/88' FZR wheel, R1/R6/FZ1 Blue/Gold dot calipers and your FJ will be ready for some Kookaloo.
