Title: reshaped seat and recovered
Post by: wyraider on April 28, 2014, 08:04:34 PM
STOKED :yahoo: Ordered 54"x36" marine grade material from eBay, $22( enough for 3 seats, and really nice thick material). A small can of 3m foam spray glue and a foam bed roll, $26. Then cut wore out foam off and glued in place. Used a die grinder to "sand" the shape out. I might still take a little more curve out of the back of bottom so its a little more flat and build the corners and back a little more round to bring my arse forward a touch but so far its really comfy. Stretching/stapling was a pain but went better after I figured out if you heat the plastic as much as posible the staples bury better then used a punch to send them home. Easy fix if you take your time and be patient. Hopefully the pics post so you have an idea of what went down, I think it made it look absolutely awesome :yahoo:
