So sorry to hear this Doug.
May God take her hand to a restful peace.

Doug, as the others have said, my sincere condolences mate. It's unfortunate that you can't make it to the WCR, as this is the kind of friendship and mateship that helps heal a loss like you've suffered. All the best my friend and hope to see you soon. Regards, Pete.

after a short fight lost her battle last night...

My mother lost her life to cancer as well about 4 years ago, but I always chose to look at it as her killing the cancer.  Ultimately they both died, but she won the fight in the end and the cancer is dead too.  She knew that before she died and was at rest knowing it.  I hope your mother shared the same peace and I'm sure she shares it now.

Best regards Doug and see you next time,

Frank

My condolences Baldy, Cancer is a rotten disease that needs a cure, took my mother 3 yrs ago so I know exactly how you feel.

Sorry about you loss Baldy, plenty of empathy here. I doubt there are few that haven't been affected by the same thing and understand.
I viewed the loss of my parents as a changing of the guard, passing the baton on to the next generation, an inevitable but none the less painful experience when it happens though.
Being no youngster yourself, I guess your mum had achieved a good age and there is much to celebrate about a long and full life, even if it involved watching her son still ride motorbikes at an age when he should know better (well, that's what my mother always said about me).

Donna and I are saddened to hear of your loss Doug. We are also relieved that her suffering is done. She passed with the love and support of her family, which in the end is all we can hope for.

You will be missed at this year's rally.  We hope to see you next year.

Sad News Doug.......................
I lost both of my parents a couple years ago..........As the age, and the health ailments crept in, I had tried to prepare myself for the day that would inevitably come............But in truth, when those days came............Nothing could possibly prepare you for that loss...................

Take comfort that She was loved, and her suffering has ended...............And you will always hear her sweet voice..................

We'll all miss you over here  :drinks:
