Title: Lane Filtering
Post by: The General on April 14, 2014, 08:57:07 AM
Sorry if this is old news as I`ve been off the air a bit. Apparently Lane filtering is legal in NSW from July! http://www.mccofnsw.org.au/a/364.html (http://www.mccofnsw.org.au/a/364.html)
Does that mean we have ta have their congestion before Newman Logic applies? What happened to those QLD test intersections?
Bring it on Q`landers!

ummmm...ya got me think`n....So I jacked the chair up 45 degrees and took a measurement and discovered a baffling fact.

Not only does a sidecar challenge Newtonian Law but also Pythagoras ....The Lane width requirement remained the same!

Started ta get me protractor out and realised it was a futile ponder cause wifey is afraid of heights anyhow!

Yeah, I need a ride. ....Changing hands now.  :wacko2:

I think filtering is always going to be a grey area safety wise dependent on rider, conditions and the phase of the moon. I'll never forget those angry drivers in Colorado who seemed to implode as I nipped by. Regardless of state, I guess i'll filter and hope claimed ignorance avoids a ticket.
