Been surfing the forum for a while now, so thought it about time I introduce myself; I'm Glenn and I live in Vancouver, BC. Bought a tidy '89 FJ1200 last fall and spent the winter doing some minor renovations. All stock apart from Cobra cans and Corbin saddle. Only got a couple of rides in last fall, but put the plates on this weekend and looking forward to a full season this year! I rode an FJ1100 back in the day back in the old country (UK), but I've been away from FJ's and bikes in general for a few years. Also have a restored KZ650 in the stable for even more old skool air cooled fun and a change of pace, so you could say I'm back with a vengeance :yahoo:
Welcome Glen. Hope to meet you along the way. 89 is a fine year ! :good2:

:hi: Hi and welcome to the crazy gang hang out. We have several members in and around your area who will chime in soon.
What part of the 'old country' are you from :scratch_one-s_head:
Nice '89 btw :good2:
John
Hi Glenn.
Welcome. I live just across the Straight from you in Nanaimo. Hopefully we can get together for a ride sometime this season. Give some thought to attending the west coast rally next month.
Derek
Welcome, and very clean looking "Theft Deterrent" Silver & White you got there. If I was not so hooked on the "Ambulance" Red & White of my 86', the Silver & White would be my color choice.

Hey Derek, won't make the West Coast Rally this year, but it's on my radar for next year. Look me up if you make it over to the mainland this summer.
I wouldn't think the surfing would be that good in Vancouver!
Welcome!
Welcome to the group Glenn. :hi: Awesome looking 89'. I am biased to that color scheme.
Fred
Hi Glenn,
Welcome to the group. I have the same bike south of Fraser River.
It's stock and I just got a collectors plate for it a couple of months ago
now that's officially 25. Not sure how to post a pic yet...
Good looking bike!!
Hi Glenn and welcome to the forum. FJ looks good and congratulation on getting it.
Kurt
Welcome Glenn... I am in Coquitlam... If you want to PM me I have a small group that often rides to Squamish for coffee on weekends :morning1:. If interested I can add you to the group email.

Welcome Glenn. I'm a noob here too. Getting my FJ (back) later this week (this will be the second time that I've owned it). Vancouver is wonderful, my wife and I visited there years ago. We'll be embarking there for a Disney cruise with the extended family this summer-coming up a few days early to see the Butchart gardens and Victoria. I've got a KZ in the garage too, 1980 KZ1000 with extensive mods. Enjoy your FJ!

Nice looking bike!
Welcome Glen! I'm just up the street from Derek in CR. Earl Svorks aka Simon is in Burnaby and knows a pile about FJ's and other MC's and has some bits of FJ's.
