I hate to say "been there, done that"...actually in this case I don't mind saying it at all. Been to Dover something like 4 times and my least favourite were in the summer - too many bikes, too many people. I went there a couple years ago because my brother hadn't yet so we made the trek and it was stop-n-go the entire time. No fun, especially with an air-cooled engine slowly getting hotter and hotter and hotter...
A buddy of mine likes to go after work - in the afternoon/evening because he says everyone else is heading out of town and he is able to park right on the main drag and doesn't have to wait to get anything to eat. I may entertain that. My favourite ride to PD was in October - we rode through rain, snow, sleet, high winds and had a blast the whole way. I'm not right in the head.
That being said, the ride from London to PD along the lake shore is really nice and I usually do a Sunday afternoon ride with my wife at least once a year.

I'll be riding in the dirt at Algonquin Park on June 14th & 15th, so I wont be there. Have been to Dover in the past but I'm gonna pass this year.
