I saw a topic on riding gloves back some and ment to put this together and I did it. :gamer:
These gloves are tougher than leather by far, I'm sure of it. Impervious to the elements and warm.
They are sold in one size, 10 and there perfect. I have learned that in cold, air space is everything.
My hands are big. I use the Atlas blue gauntlets size xxl for fishing and diving, cause there ruggid.
A couple of years ago, I crushed a finger fishing. I had it taken care of but needed to get back to work.
I remembered these Monkey grip gloves at the local auto store. I had tried them on and was surprised
at how much larger than my hand they were. I needed space in the glove for a finger bandage. With
these gloves, I was able to go back to work in 2 days.

The blue Atlas gloves last 2 days on the boat. Using Red fish for bait, the spines will pass
right thru the gloves and I would get stuck bad. With the monkey grip, only once in a while would
I get stuck. There also very pliable. I was able to tie bait pocket knots (like a shoe lace knot).
After a couple of days, they really loosen up too. They lasted a month lobstering.

Clamming with these is great. these gloves last a long time. Driving a clam hoe and working the shore
is really tough on gloves. The Atlas only last 1 day @ $5 a pop. These gloves I've went clamming
15 times @ $10 buying from the little auto shop. You can probably get them cheaper.

Air space in the gloves. I also ware a thin glove liner some times and it's comfortable, in the cold.

I am sure those gloves work great for what you use them for. I can see the waterproof part, except that there is no gather capability at the cuff to keep the water out. Also, what would the protection be when contacting asphalt doing 60 mph?
I bought these back in November and found that they work great. The are very light weight, waterproof, and they keep your digits warm down to 20*f. Joe Rocket Nitrogen glove.
