Title: Ultrasonic cleaner recommendation
Post by: Capn Ron on March 31, 2014, 01:49:10 AM
Hey all...

I'm looking for a recommendation for an ultrasonic cleaner.  Out of desperation and a momentary lapse of reason, I bought a Harbor Freight unit, having only owned it for three weeks (bought it on 03/07/2014), it's got pinholes in the bottom of the tank so it no longer holds fluid...Sort of the main purpose here.  I'm returning it tomorrow and am looking to replace it with something more substantial.

I don't want to break the bank here, but I'm looking for good value for money in a unit that will outlast the next ten or so years of projects.  I'm fine with used...Y'know...one of those selling off old lab equipment on Ebay deals...But I don't know which brands are well made units.  A lot of them seem like the same product just re-branded over and over.

Any thoughts?

I have a Bransonic 5000 series unit that works really well. Got it in "non working condition" off ebay for $50, then sent it to Bransonic for repair.  They charged me $120 for a new control panel and heating element. It's been working great since.
