Went to Ponder, Tx yesterday for a get together of Texas motorcyclists. It is a small town northwest of Ft. Worth. Its claim to fame is Bonnie and Clyde arrived in 1934 to rob the small bank. Unfortunately the bank had gone belly up just the day before so they did't get any money. In 1966 Fay Dunaway and crew were there to film part of the Bonnie and Clyde movie. I went to see what kind of current bikes they are riding nowadays as mine are older like me. I was the only one on a FJ but two previous FJ owners were there eager to trade FJ stories so I felt right at home. Most brands of bike were there, even a couple of Harleys. I noticed alot of the younger riders favored the Triump triples. Alot of the older riders were on V Stroms. Even older riders were on Bergstrom scooters ( I hope I never get there). One old guy (older than me) even rode a Honda Grom. The weather was great and everyone had a great time talking motorcycles. Dave
Thanks for sharing that...sounds like it was a great day to go to Ponder a few motorcycles. :good2:
