Got the front wheel bearings today(Thanks, Randy!) and installed them in the FZR front wheel. Did a little sanding and polishing on the rim, called up a buddy that has a NoMar tire changer, went over and had him lever on the ContiMotion.
I'm trying to decide which pair of rotors that I will mount up and run for right now. I have a set that came with the YZF wheel that looks like they have been reground but they are at the low end of the service limit for thickness. Then there is the pair of rotors that is on the bike right now, they have a slight pulse when you brake, but most of the time it is not real noticeable. The caliper adaptors to run the 320 mm rotors will have to wait.
I plan on taking the GSXR rear wheel to the powdercoater this week and get the spokes and hub powdercoated black, then finish polishing the rim edges.
Coming together little by little.......
After measuring all the brake rotors that I have on hand, and looking in the general maintenance spec files on the forum, I finally realized that the original thickness given in the Haynes manual for a new rotor is in error. All of the rotors that I have are more than .150" thick. I feel a lot better knowing that they are not worn as much as they appeared to be. :shok:

I've never heard of that error. You're not confusing metric and imperial measurements are you? The manual I think gives those sort of specs in metric.

In my book it states : 1984 through 1988
Standard................7.5mm (0.295 inch)
Minimum................7 mm (0.275 inch)
1989 on
Front
Standard................4 mm (0.2 inch)
Minimum................3.5 mm (0.14 inch )
Rear
Standard................7.5 mm (0.295 inch)
Minimum................7 mm (0.275 inch)
Disc Runout Limit.....0.15 mm (0.006 inch)
I just did the calculation, 4mm x .03937 = .1574"
3.5mm x .03947= .1377"
:pardon:
