What is the preferred source for sprockets? I visited Sprocket Specialists (who I thought I bought my last set from) but their rear sprockets are all aluminum (YIKES!).
I already bought the chain from Indy Superbikes (?) $133 for a DID 530 ZVM-X seems more than reasonable.

A few of us have bought the same chain from Indy Superbikes and all with good reports. Best price I could find. I bought JT sprockets. Lots of dealers for them. Check on E bay some of the dealers sell there also. JT has a good web site to check on sprockets. I googled JT Sprockets yesterday but only came up with the corporate site and no prices. I'll do a more comprehensive search tonight. The 18/40 sounds like a good choice.
I bought my front 18t from Randy at RPM, so I knew it'd fit.

If'n you google 'JT sprockets', you'd find some of the usual suspects in the paid links in the sidebar.
Or search eBay for 'FJ1200 rear sprocket', the first several results are JT steel ones.
Partszilla (boats.net) got my business! Also spent a few hours trolling through the OEM FJ parts lists lamenting at the number of OBSOLETE parts. :-(
Actually ordered a few miscellaneous items, we'll see how many actually make it to me.
Next up is a few hours on RPM. 18T sprocket, fork valves, etc
JT are my preferred sprockets. I went to order a 41T last week and was told that while it is listed on their website, that and some other sizes have been discontinued.
It is possible they were referring to the Australian distributor, it would be good to know what is still available over there.
I have an 18T front and like non divisible sprockets.

I've used: http://www.sidewindersprockets.com (http://www.sidewindersprockets.com) for a 520 chain & sprocket conversion on one of my project bikes. I needed a custom rear sprocket that was made from steel instead of aluminum. SideWinder Sprockets makes off the shelf & custom sprockets out of several materials including high carbon steel, tool steel, stainless steel, titanium, etc. Very nice chain & sprocket kit! They have several "strengths" of chain to select from.
