Title: honda F4i shock mod....
Post by: DB Cooper on March 01, 2014, 09:21:15 AM
Hello all,
I'm doing the honda shock mod to my 88 (89 to others). My bike is in storage, and I can't get to it, so I was wondering if anyone here has access to an FJ shock that they could measure the size of the clevis for me, and what size the mounting bolt hole is. I'm trying to get all my stuff together so I can have this ready to go before the season starts.
Thanks
Kevin

The shock clevis legs ID needs to be 30mm wide for an 88-90. The bolt hole is 12mm. The legs of the clevis also 30mm wide. There are other shocks that might be easier to adapt.  I have had a f4i on my 1990.  If I can answer any questions let me know, glad to pass on what I know.

Thanks George!! Just what I needed.
A buddy of mine who is an AME and machinist, has an interesting idea for attaching a clevis on the Honda shock. I'll be taking photos and keeping notes, if it works out, I'll post it up.
