Thought you guys might get a kick out of a nicely executed cafe/naked bike by Deus Ex Machina. Love stuff like this. Link: http://deuscustoms.com/bikes/model/eau-rouge/ (http://deuscustoms.com/bikes/model/eau-rouge/) ...Maybe someone can help by posting pic. Haven't gotten to that yet.

I took my FJ apart to make my XJR, the bike in my avatar. Been out on it today in fact, and in my opinion an altogether better bike. :flag_of_truce:
It's getting harder and harder to find fjs ..so please people keep it up. My fj may very well start to appreciate :yahoo:
Nice looking but the wheelbase looks short for my taste and it sits off the ground like a yz250. Maybe its the ground clearance that makes it look short to me.
I generally like the look and admire the work that went into it, but I'm with Joe...The end result doesn't look "balanced." To my way of thinking, the project would have been better served with a Yamaha 550 or 600 engine.
Now here's an example of a custom bike I saw on Sunday with a more "balanced" approach.

That's got a Detroit 671 turbo diesel in it!!! :shok: :shok: :shok:
Cap'n Ron. . .
Does it have an o-ring chain?
He should have some short stacks coming up beside the tires in back whit them rain flappers Capn Ron. Wouldn't that be a sight on the highway, him coming on to it and smoke bailing out to those stacks-YUP, I want one!
Yea, you're right Capn Ron, but the tanks looks the same.

Make that TWO o-ring chains!

Essentially, the rider sits over a locked, shortened rear truck diff. A MASSIVE chain is used on both sides to drive the rear "dually" setup. Crazy stuff!

I guess if you are gonna go big, go stupid big! I guess I have to confess, I kind of like it. I love the sound of a 2 stroke Detroit Diesel. Yeah, pretty redneck, I admit.

That is stupid-big! Definitely admire the "just because we can" effort. The Detroit "671" diesel is 6 cylinders, 71 Cu In PER cylinder!! That's essentially the displacement of an entire FJ1200 in each PISTON...good lord! :shok:
