Okay, I am having a sale on the last 15 RPM spin on oil filter conversion kits.
RPM Spin-On Oil Filter Adapter (http://www.rpmracingca.com/proddetail.asp?prod=spinonfilteradapter)
I have gone to a new manufacture and have changed the design slightly. The design change was done to address the only complaint people have ever had about the adapter; the hole for the socket wasn't large enough and some sockets had to be ground down to fit inside.
So, some minor changes to the new version that are being made and I need to move these last 15 before I can start selling the new ones.
The other good news about the new design of the RPM oil filter conversion is that I am going to be able to hold the price for this current batch that is ready for me at the end of the week.
So, if you have been on the fence about getting one, now is the time to buy one at a reduced price of over $10.00. The new adapter will again sell for $48.95 after these 15 are gone.
Thank you for your continued support.

:good2:
I will add that Randy ships international. I've installed the original design filter mod with no problems at all. :good2:

Thanks Mark. The design was never because of a problem, only complaints about not being able find a socket(s) that would fit the hole. So, since I was having more made, I figured it was time to try and address the issue so that way there is not anything for anyone to complain about.
Plus, I forgot to mention the benefit that a lot of people have told me and like Alf have posted the slave seals are lasting longer due to the adapter allow more air flow around the slave and not heat soaking the seals.

I wanted to keep my 84 completely stock but there were to many benefits to the spin on filter. I also think it improves the look of the bike. It was absolutely no trouble to install........Randy did it. Didn't take him long either. I think he had done one or two before......... :sarcastic:Dave
gday randy, does the mod just have the plate and the big nut/bolt thing with it? is an oil seal or o ring needed, thanks ken

And very important: that the bike run 2-3º C cooler when riding hard. It could be look like peanuts, but it is important for the part of us that ride on the sporty side, that go into closed racetracks, that have our bikes tuned or that simply live in hot climates. The extra quantity of oil and the more exposed air filter area help
^^ good point Alf, along with the fact that Randy's oil coolers kick ass.... :good:

Yes, it is just the adapter and center bolt. The o-ring from the canister can be used over or you can purchase a new one.

Dave,
You need to get over the "keep it stock" mentality. You can keep the appearance 99.99% stock and still do a lot of very good mods; wheels, brakes, spin-on adapter, oil cooler, shock, fork valves, straight rate springs, Corbin seat, ...
Did you get fork vavles when you visited Randy? Does the anti-dive still (not) work?

I agree with you, FJ Hooligan. I keep "stock" my CBX 750 BolDor because it is the only one in Spain... but I fitted SS screws all around, good pads, braided lines, modern tyres (even I keep the OEM rims)... and I´ve improved the suspension front & back. You only can maintain "stock" your bike if you don´t use it. If not, in order to ride safe, why do not use XXI century knowledge in order to improve a 30 years old design?
Take a look at the boys at Sanctuary and say me those bikes look better in "stock" form :nyam1:

Only a couple left at the sale price before the price goes back up.

I bought one and Randy isn't a fan of me. Appears to be a good product.
:hi: If you don't have this upgrade and your 'sitting on the fence', here are a couple of good reasons to get one... :mail1:
* - Cleaner, easier, oil filter changes... :good2:
* - oil filters are readily available at 99.99999999% of any local automotive store, ( UAP Nappa, Canadian Tire, Pet Boys, etc, etc) :good2:
* - In most cases, the replacement oil filters at your local automotive store are less expensive than stock from your local Yamaha dealer :dash1: :good2:
* - Replacement oil filters come in several different colours, depending on the 'manufacturer'...Black, White, Chrome, etc... :good2:
* - 2 to 3 degrees cooler running is nothing to be sniffed at...especially with air cooled motors :good2:
* - No chance of nipping wires in that area with this upgrade installed...unlike the oem one :dash2:
* - They actually look better than the stock unit without making your FJ look 'wrong' :good2:
* - Randy's one of us, knows his shit, is fair with his prices, will ship to almost any were in the world...so why not support him and help yourself at the same time!!! :good2:
Please feel free to add to my wee rant er I mean list... (popcorn)
John.

I can't think of much you have missed :good2:
Joe
I can think of a huge reason not to buy one.
Every time I go to Randy's site and pick 'just that one' item I need... I always end up buying a truckload of stuff because it's so much cheaper than anywhere else ><
Sorry to disappoint you fine fellows, but until Noel has the final word there must be something more to say...
Keep smiling & ride safe,
Midget.

Sometimes it takes a while... once upon a time, we didn't have a popcorn emoticon, either. :unknown:
Lucky enough to have bought the last one. And of course... like andyb said, I had to buy other goodies while I was there, (RPM fork brace and other stuff). Boy, this is fun spending money on the 'ol girl!
Thank you everyone, I will get the new version up on the website shortly.

I like this one; :mail1: With that one I can write down everything I would like to buy. (popcorn)
