Title: 68 Degrees in Kansas
Post by: aviationfred on January 12, 2014, 08:15:51 PM
It was 68F Degrees in South Central Kansas today. Last week we had a low of -5F. Could not pass up the warm temps. Went for a short 100 mile ride on Thunder Road, one of the extremely rare roads in Kansas that has any curves  :rofl2:.

I have made references before about the lack of twisty's in Kansas. For those who have never been to this part of the country, here you go. I got this photo from a fellow rider who has a Harley. The view is what is expected once you leave the city limits covering most of Kansas.

Thank you Jeff,

I moved the Hepco & Becker frame and luggage from the 89'. First time out with the luggage on and the used/ new to me windscreen. I have no idea what brand it is. I got it from Poway Motorcycle. It has a very small/subtle lip at the top and is painted black on the inside.

I am using the tiny adjustable mirrors from Germany. Can't see worth a damn to the rear but they look ok and meet legal requirements.  Could definitely use a set of monkey made angled mirror adaptors. Still need to get a set of Arashi front rotors and do something with the rear shock. The thing handles like a truck compared to the 89'.  :ireful: Two weekends of overtime should cover a new RPM shock.... :unknown: Holding out for some info on a revised RPM shock that has a height adjustment option.

youd be in heaven here in Seattle area. Thats all it is. Twisty, hilly, bendy, scenic(to dangerous distractions). Problem is we get maybe only 4-6 months of truly reliable weather to enjoy it
