I've been looking on ebay at tires as I need a new front tire badly. Has anyone on here used the Full Bore USA M-1 Sport Radial Front Tire 120/70-17 or the Continental Motion Sport Front Tire 120/70ZR-17? These seem to be very reasonably priced compared to a Metzler.
Any recommendations or not recommendeds?

I have the Conti Motions on my bike, 2nd set and they work as well as the Dunlops. I'll keep using them.

Thanks CraigO. I was leaning toward that tire so I think I'll go ahead and pop on the purchase. My front tire is in desperate need of replacement.
I have a set of ContiMotions to go on my FJ once I get the new wheels painted or powder coated, so I have no direct experience with them. But I do know a guy with a FZ1 that has done track days on them and found them to be more than capable on the track and street. The Full Bores are tempting at the price, but I think I would still have to pass them up.

Take a look at Amazon.com for tires before you pull the trigger.
I recently purchased two Avon Roadrider tires for one of my other bikes & they were only a few cents shy of $200 through Amazon. They even arrived in only 3 days during the Holiday rush.
To the other member who is contemplating painting or powder coating his wheels... Go with the powder coat. I just had a pair of wheels done & they turned out real nice! Much better finish than just a thin coating of paint.
Good luck

+1 for the Roadriders :good2:
It's my understanding that the Full Bores are made to their specs for them by Shinko, but are not the same as Shinko.
I've had really good experience with the Shinko Raven & Verge tires (IMO, comparable to Avon Azaro/Storms), but now I'm trying out the ContiMotions. They seem like pretty good tires, but I don't think that tread life will end up being nearly as good as the Shinkos or Avons.
YMMV
I mounted a set of Cont-Motions over the summer and have put a little over 4k miles on them with very little wear showing on the front and just a hint of squaring off on the rear. I highly recommend the Conti's.
I mostly commute and tour. Kansas has no twisty's to wear the sides down.

I am on my second set of Motions, after seeing Craigo ride them to the edge and then slightly off the edge, I know they will meet all my canyon cornering needs. I am getting just under twice the life over the AV45/46 combo when I had 16" wheels. Almost twice the life, stick well enough for me, and at the price of under $200 per set delivered.... Awesome... And I no longer pay a shop to mount and balance, I do that in my garage with minimal tools. Now if I can just get leaned over enough to use up all the tire then my savings will be complete.
Sounds like Conti's are the ones for me. I don't lean enough to worry about hard corner traction. Did that alot in my younger years.
Surprisingly enough, when I bought the ContiMotions a few months ago, I got the best price + shipping from Amazon.com. :pardon:
I'd never thought to look there before.

However, the Conti will give you all the grip you need at full lean, which includes dragging hard parts. They have great traction, but on warm days pushing hard, you (I) can shred the rear. I got a bit over 4000 miles out of my last set.

I am getting about 6K, but I don't ride as hard as Craigo. His tire was quite thrashed at the edges when I last saw it.

Thanks for that, Mark. Yep, they are good tires.
