Yes, I realise the stem/yolk/triple are different, and I would need to do a bit of fabing, replace the springs and probably get a set LSL bars or something. My query is more regarding their function as compared to OEMs.    :flag_of_truce:

Conklin has that setup on his bike.  He purchased it from another guy named Chris in Florida(forget his last name).  IIRC, I helped get Chris a Thunderace front wheel for that setup so that it retained the stock speedo.  Now those wheels are as rare as hens teeth. But not as rare as Ace forks.

Yes, it needed a custom stem.  Could probably weld and machine a stock FJ stem, like I did.  The result is a bit shorter...somewhere between 1/2" - 1".  But that is determined by the type of top clamp.  A gull wing top clamp will let the fork legs sit lower and effectively be longer.  Put on a flat top clamp and it will get pretty short.  Only concern to me is ground clearance.  I am not concerned with the additional rake.  Everybody jacks up the back.  OK to lower the front , just be careful for ground clearance.  Not sure if there is a steering stop issue.
