Title: Vibranators
Post by: Goody on December 02, 2013, 11:39:50 PM
Just fitted some vibranators to my 91 fj 1200. Got to say they work a treat .after  about 15mins riding left hand would start to get tingles then go numb . Fitted a set of e-bay vibranators made for the fj model and took a hours ride yesterday with no tingling  or numbness whatsoever can recommend them also very very easy to fit . :good:

Goody,

Not knocking the Vibranators, but you shouldn't be getting that amount of vibration from a '91.

Check the front engine mounts are free and greased.
Check the lower frame members have all the bolts in place and are tight.
Check that the carbs are properly sync'ed.

You'll be amazed at the improvement and the Vibranators will polish it off.

I agree with Arnie. They are good to have but you might just be masking the real problem. At a minimum I would check/lube the engine mounts and frame mount points for any cracks or problems. When was the last time you synced the carbs ?

Yep, the Vibranators do work. But what I did in one day was the engine mounts, carb sync and Vibranators. When I rode home everything was so smoooooth. So those things all together make a huge improvement  :good2:
