Post by: Harvy on November 30, 2013, 04:15:31 PM
Guys, I picked up a '93 yesterday from Sydney........ some of it I will be keeping but the majority is up for grabs........I will start stripping it over the next week or so. Anyone in Aus needing parts (Neil - are you listening?) post up here, PM me, whatever,  and we will see whats what.

Cheers

Baldy and Ken, PMs replied too.
Yeah Ray, was a spur of the moment decision.....I saw it on eBay on Thursday morning - was ending around midday and had ~$400 bid....... I decided to have a crack at it so put in $601 and bugger me, I ended up with it.   :wacko3:
So I drove down to Sydney on Friday afternoon, slept for 5 hours and landed on the sellers door just after 8 Sat morning. Had it loaded up and gone within 30 mins and got back to Bne just after 5 yesterday evening...... a bit over 2000Kms in 31 hours with 5 hours sleep in the middle.

No photos yet mate......I just unloaded it and put it in the shed..... I will drag it out again Mon or Tuesday and take a good look at what I have. All I know is it is not running but does turn over so its either electrical or fuel.

I'm thinking at this stage that the cases and crank will be the basis for a 1350 build, but beyond that.......... :scratch_one-s_head:

Cheers

You scored a bargain there Harv, I'll put dibs in for the gauge cluster if it's any good. My clock doesn't work properly plus the clear lens is cracked.

If its got the RH side inner fairing panel not cracked I'll grab that off you Harv. Or is it left? Will have to check when I get home.

I've just been poking around and this bike has a fully Givi hard case rack for top case and side boxes on it - its a bit tatty but could certainly be  resurrected with some elbow grease, a good sand back and some paint. Not bent or broken as far as I can tell .And in the box of goodies that came with it are a pair of Rentec engine guards - also need cleaning up and re-painting.

Let me know if anyone out there wants these items as I don't want either of them.

Cheers
