New XJR1300 owner in Denver Colorado.... slumming it here on an FJ board.
Just kidding. Looking forward to learning more about the FJ/XJR lineage...
Welcome to the forum ! What year is your XJR ? Don't hesitate to chime in anytime and also think about attending a rally next year. You don't have to ride an FJ to have a good time with us. There are actually a few FJ's around the Denver area.
George
it appears to be a 2000.
pic is in gallery under "an American XJR"

Alright, I gotta ask. How did you wind up with an XJR in the US?

Grey market only.
They did bring a couple over (along with a TRX) to a Yamaha dealer show that I went to in St. Paul, though.

Nope. Never officially sold anywhere in either North or South America.
Apparently it came in on some sort of military exemption, from Germany.
I picked it up from the second owner who I'm not sure knew exactly what he had.
It was, and still is, to a degree, covered in fine New Mexico desert dust.
The front fairing is a frame-mounted job, likely dealer installed, from a Dutch firm.
Looks great to me. Just be careful with her. Replacement parts will probably have to come from oversea's ? I like the color, I also like the K.Roberts black and yellow ones.

Your XJR looks great and you have found a rare gem in the US. Randy at RPM stocks some parts for the XJR. http://www.rpmracingca.com/ (http://www.rpmracingca.com/)

Welcome from another XJR owner. Shame about that effort upfront though :mocking: Each to his own.
