Yeah, I have. No snow, no ice == no winter.
I'll admit that there is still a change of seasons and that it gets chilly here, but its not real winter.
"Real Winter" has snow, ice, and temps that are life threatening.
"Real Winter" requires you to get up 1/2 hr early so you can dig your car out of the snow drift if necessary.
"Real Winter" requires a different type of construction to deal with snow load and must include insulation. (see CanDman's pic of framed house)
I brought a down parka with me when I left Michigan, and its only been used by friends going to NZ.
If you want to know what winter is, I'm sure we could find someone in Canada or Minnesnowta or other Northern climes like Finland or even Scotland to show you around. :-)

Gotta love winter times! :good:
I have found that winter time is the excellent time to loose some weight! By the looks of the pictures, others have found it out too
Shoveling snow can take hours, and the calories shoots of :good2: Makes the FJ happy when season starts again, not so happy when the BBQ season starts..... :dash1:
Cheers!
I can hardly stand the winter here. It might drop to freezing temps 5-10 times a winter, very rarely snows at all. Still too cold for my taste.
One day I'll move somewhere tropical.

Wait... Aren't you in Austin? Isn't that in Texas? I thought Austin WAS tropical! It's way south of Tulsa, which with all the summer heat and humidity, I consider it SUB-tropical. Movin' back to Colorado. :good:

Yup. We hit freezing with that recent cold front, though we're back up to the 50's and 60's today and lately.
Burrr.

(But seriously. Tropics.)
