Hi All,
My wife and I are planning another Hungarian orphanage project this year. THANK YOU SO MUCH for all who helped with the project last year. Maybe this year can be the same EXCEPT the part where I almost die in a car accident. Last year was a successful event anyway. See the story / photos here:

At this point we do not have a specific orphanage for the FJ riders, but we're looking into it. It really makes a big difference in children's lives for the holidays. Some kids invite their parents to see them and they don't come. Usually no gifts, visits, nothing. It breaks my heart.
I'll keep you posted as we check on this.
I am in, just provide the details and links like last year. Seeing the pictures of the happy kids was heart warming.

Doing very well. Still three more visits to Mayo Clinic. By Feb, 2014 I should be back normal... teeth (prosthesis) and everything!

I am not a regular on this board, more of a lurker. Mark, you make me feel proud to be an American. What you are doing makes me a little misty eyed and renews my faith in humanity. Count me in until it hurts.
Dan

Well, we just got the info from the orphanage today. There's a BIG involvement from my workplace, but I would like to assign about 15 of these kids to you guys. I will get a "live" online document like I did last year, then you can choose an individual child that you would like to sponsor. Stay tuned. More to follow as soon as we can get this together.
Thanks so much for your interest and desire to help. I'm excited to get this rolling. :good2:

That person anonymous sure likes to make a lot of $20 donations. :good2:
We are offering to you the Kanaan Haz - a safe house in Pápa, Hungary.
We asked for specific items they would like. My wife and I will be purchasing the items requested. The director of this location asked that we do not list the names publicly as these kids are from troubled homes. I'm sure you can understand the safety concern.
Please follow the instructions carefully. It will be greatly appreciated if you can donate NO MORE than $20 per child to keep it fair. My wife and I will buy the gifts. We have 15 children for you to sponsor. First come, first served.
1. Go to http://www.editgrid.com/user/lotsokids/Christmas (http://www.editgrid.com/user/lotsokids/Christmas)
2. Find a child you wish to sponsor and put your FJOwners screen name in the right column.
3. Go to https://www.paypal.com/ (https://www.paypal.com/) and send the funds to lotsokids@netzero.net
THANK YOU again. This makes a big difference for these kids.
Donated. Happy to help...
Done.
I sponsored 1.
Message me please if if there are still un-sponsored kids as you near the date of gift purchase.

We're all done, guys. Sincerely, THANK YOU for making a difference. Maybe we can get pictures of the gifts, but not pictures of the kids (per request of the director).
