Title: New Member, still in the shadows
Post by: FJmonkey on February 14, 2009, 09:27:32 PM
I have decided to split my loyalties and join the new group. Hoping that the some of the old group pizazz and magic is still strong and drives the Yamaha FJ1100/1200 into the future. I have an 86' that I bought to commute to Northern California twice a week to visit my kids with less fuel costs (and to have a fun bike on the weekends). Much to my chagrin it was during the last El Ninio and I was rained on every trip both ways (nearly snowed on over the grape vine). I no longer make the Iron Butt rides but still enjoy the FJ1200 and long to make upgrades that will keep the FJ the impressive bike I think it is.

Long Live the FJ!!!!!!

Glad you made it over!  Many (probably most actually) of the great FJ minds have joined up here as well...you should be in good hands!

That reminds me: anyone heard from David Raforth in a while?

Marsh,

I got a personal email from David R not too long ago..... it was actually after the last off topic blow up on the yahoo group.... he has been under a lot of stress from work and family matters. It sounded like he really needs to get away for a rally weekend of fun and frivolity.

i hate when life gets in the way of fun.
