Great weather in the Toronto area, especially for late September...

I know the GPS says you are heading north but you may in fact be heading south

Agreed.
My speedometer cable broke somewhere down around Oshawa on Sunday so I can't say what distance I racked up all weekend. Never enough though.
Saturday: Orangeville > Barrie > Port Severn > Port Carling > Bracebridge > Gravenhurst with a jog back west to use Southwood Rd. - the sand and gravel show was spectacular and I was thrown off the seat violently on the rail road tracks, and return to Orangeville.
Fall colours in Muskoka are still nowhere near peak.
Sunday: Famous Sam's for breakfast meet. You know in 9 years of riding, after being away from that scene for a few years, I see the same guys show up, have breakfast and coffee, then go for a ride to Port Perry (yawn) to park at Tim Horton's for ... more coffee. > Brooklin, Oshawa, drive in circles, shop, coffee, drive and get lost, Brooklin again (still no one home), return into the setting sun.
When the sun is nearly gone, the temperature sure nose dives this time of year. If I am heading west at sunset I find it wise to pull off someplace for a hot dinner instead of being blinded by the sun at this time of year especially.
