I spent the day Saturday riding the Ozarks east of Branson, Missouri. The central location that everyone started from is Theodosia. The roads were like I have never ridden. The easiest way to describe them is like a wooden roller coaster. Go down and curve, go up and curve, go down and curve up, and go up and curve down. Definitely need to bring your a-game to ride fast. The following photos are where we ate lunch. The Trout Ranch and Old Grist Mill in Rockbridge, Missouri.

Fred,
It's pretty cool to ride roads that don't follow section lines, isn't it?
Glad you made it to the ride, I should have my FJ back together Tuesday night. Working for a living is getting in the way of wrenching & riding.
Joe
When got onto Hwy 160 and got through Forsyth. The roads got tight and twisty. I have ridden all over southern and central California and never encountered roads as twisty and evil as what I road this weekend. :diablo: After about 30 minutes I got to be expecting craziness at the top of a hill or the suspension compression at the bottom of a hill.

Fred:
Nice pics of the ride.
At the rally I was at last weekend, there were several riders there who have ridden in the area you were at in AR. They had nothing but praise for the riding there. One guy there commented that it seemed that whoever laid out the roads there, did it with no rhyme or reason. Curvy, twisty, up, down, on sides of hills. You name it. Super riding and road conditions.
A possible candidate location for the 30th anniversay FJ Rally????

:dance2: :good2: :yahoo: There is really not a lot more to be said about Missouri 160!

Some of the other roads that we were on are....MO 125, MO 76, MO 14, MO 95 and MO 181. Most of those roads made MO 160 seem tame.
