I just bought an 89 black n blue. To put all the cool parts I've acquired for the 87, on. Now I've finally got a stock bike to measure the fork length against the gsxr inverted forks. With the weight of the bike on them. Turns out I had them set too long. So I slid them up through the triples. And the handlebars I made out of the gsxr clippons. Rose up off the top of the triples by 5/8". So now I can have them up 5/8" for the ride to the dragon. And slide the clippons back down, to ride the dragon.
I also discovered in the box of spares that James sent me. There were some hiway pegs.(I have had surgery 2times: on one knee and once on the other) I'm going to use the passenger foot pegs and the spare engine mount plates turned upside down and backwards. They have e correct angle for the pegs. And the bolt holes. Just bolt them over top of the original engine mount plates. Ready made brackets!!!
