My '89 has 78k miles (68k of which are mine).

My '90 has 33k miles (project, soon to be running).

My 89' is showing 38,600. The last 7k has been by me. In Randy's opinion, (by the condition the head was in when he saw it), there are many thousands of miles more than what the odometer is showing.

My imported '92 had 15,000km on the clock, but with wear and tear it must've been 115,000km... Just rolled through 140,000 and I'm putting the motor back together after a rebuild.

I've got over 60,000 miles on mine, 7,000 of which I have put on in the last 5 months since I've owned it.

105,000km, 160psi compression, still goes hard and burns no oil.

Approaching to the 200.000 kms. mark. 180.000 are mine. I´ve defeated the 1650.000 kms mark got on my 1100 years ago.
Still faster than my friends FJs and perfect engine compression with only burning a drop of oil when is riding very hard... well, near every time that I ride on it. I think this is the secret of a good japanese engine: good maintenance, be calm when cold and drive as fast as you can the rest of the time on open roads  :yahoo:

My 86 has 85,000 kilometers. My 90 has 30,000 kilometers. My brother's 90 has 105,000 kilometers. My good friend Harold's 90 has 103,000 kilometers and Gary's 90 (another friend) has 110,000 on his. All use a little oil when driven hard excluding my 90 with 30,000. It uses no oil. All run very well, leak no oil and are just awesome. Some have replaced valve cover gaskets to stop leaks. Cheap easy fix.

69,000 miles on my '89.  23,000 are mine.  I had the state inspection done at a dealership last week.  The mechanic chuckled when he read the odometer.

My 86 has just conquered 77k miles from the original 35k miles it had on it when bought in 2005.
I averagely spend 800 dollars a year (300 on tires, 50 on oil changes, 450 on mods, parts etc).
Runs like a top.

"Old FJ" 1991 model bought 1993 at 14,000 miles now 134,000 miles. Not in use at present but roadworthy. Rattles a bit when cold and uses some oil but runs ok.

"New FJ" 1992 model bought 2004 at 15,000 miles now 74,000 miles. Rides like new.

I do about 8,000 miles/year on FJs and the same my Honda CBF250.

Only routine servicing. Their engines have never been apart.

My total FJ miles = 177,000

My 86 has 101400K/Ms on her. She had 96000 when I bought her. Not as many miles that most of you put on in a year but I don't get to much time to ride with work and all. I drive truck all week12 to15 hours a day an then have to work on the truck on the weekends. Still love the kookaloo though when I do get a chance to go for an extended ride. Have a great day gentlemen. Big R

I've got a '93 with 105,000 km's on it. I bought it in the low 30's a bit over 4 years ago. It was 100% unmolested and in showroom condition under a substantial build up of grime. As soon as I bought it I stripped it down to the frame and loom to detail it.

It is on it's second motor while it's first motor gets it's second rebuild.

But hey, that's nothing, check out the mileage on my coffee machine.

If the bike and the coffee machine both died tomorrow, I'm afraid the coffee maker would be head of the queue.

That machine has only cost me $2.20 in parts and $6.00 for a part I dropped and couldn't find in all that time. If only bikes were that cheap to run.

Had 163,000km when the engine was spiced up, apart from seals, starter and cam chains the bottom end was not touched (yes I know a bearing will drop one day and I'll remember my mistake). It didn't need to have the pistons done but I wanted more go (and got it in spades). Now it has 173,000kms plus. I don't consider this millage much for this motor as it appears to want to run forever (like my old Z1R). 250,000 plus would be my goal before anything will need re-doing (by that time I'll need bottom end work).

So, what did you do to get the extra grunt?

Head shaved a bit, wiseco 1219, Megacycle mild street cams (fantastic cam, top and bottom end), port clean only, Marving exhaust (very noticeable increase in power fantastic pipe). The bottom and mid range is a huge improvement, went against a hayabusa 2010 model on top end from 90kph by 160kph he was about two bike lengths in front (after that I'd say he'll cream me), the only problem I have is the front lifts under power which can catch you out if negotiating a sweeper. The Limo (FJ) goes very hard to the rev limiter at 10,500rpm so I try to change at 10 but it gets there fast.

Bought an '89 new in June 1990, put 9,000 miles on it before it was stolen in 1991.  (22 years ago today.)

Bought my current '89 in November 1991 with ~1,500 miles on it, from John's (The Beer Scientist's) dad.  It now has 106,000 miles on it.

It smokes something fierce, especially on trailing throttle, and it leaks a good bit too (need to try again with that valve cover.)  One of these years, I'm going to pull the motor and send it to RPM.

130k + The speed cable came off and I didn't replace it for a few years. I've had the bike 25 years, no rebuild...

Wow, you guys are your own FJ club!  Seriously, I don't think there are that many FJs at most rallies.

Bought my '92 beginning of June with about 65,000 miles on it, have put 1500 on it for 66,500.
Oil level has gone down only the slightest in that 1500 miles.

I guess my 84 is a pup with under 47,000 miles.
This is still only my second season with it. I'll try to do better.
